AI Lumen’s innovation is its ability to wirelessly transmit video out of the body and produce near-HD video for the colonoscopist. AI Lumen utilizes a low bandwidth, wireless signal to send low resolution video to an external receiver which then uses a proprietary AI super resolution algorithm to upscale the video to near-HD quality. The result is a backward-looking view of the colon (illuminating the backside of colon folds) that is comparable to the forward-looking HD view.

 

The super resolution algorithm is trained using a large number of images to turn sub-HD video into HD video.
